At almost 4.5m long (4418mm) and with seating for 5, the Tourneo Connect can swallow a huge 2410 litres. If you’re after even more space though, then the Grand Tourneo Connect is for you, with its versatile 5+2 seating arrangements, and by comparison it has a maximum load area volume of 2761 litres and is just short of 5m long at 4818mm long.
The new Ford Tourneo Connect short wheel base 5-seater will be available in the following configurations: 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbocharged petrol with the option of either Ambiente or Trend specification levels.
Two high spec, Titanium, long wheel base 5+2-seater models will be available in either a 1.6-litre petrol mated to a 6-speed automatic or 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel 6-speed manual.
The now familiar 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine develops an impressive 74kW and 170Nm of torque – available exclusively on this model is Auto Start/Stop which automatically shuts down the car’s engine when idling, in heavy traffic for instance, and can reduce fuel consumption by up to 10% in these conditions.
The 1.6-litre naturally aspirated engine is rated at 110kW and 240Nm of torque. Fans of turbocharged diesel engines will be extremely happy with the 1.6-litre oil burners’ outputs of 85kW and 285Nm of torque. Fuel economy on the combined cycle is 5.6, 8.0 and 4.8 litres per 100km respectively.
With its taut styling the all-new Tourneo Connect features Ford’s kinetic design language to full effect, with a dynamism which instantly and recognisably Ford in character. With its side loading sliding door, which can be opened fully in tight, narrow spaces without damaging nearby vehicles, the Tourneo connect is as practical as it is good looking.

Interior appointments standard across the range include, easy clean rubber floor mats, power windows with drivers one touch up/down function, radio with Bluetooth USB and AUX in connectivity, steering wheel mounted controls, 4-way adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, 2 x 12v power sockets, full width parcel shelf, tyre inflator monitor and second and third seats (if applicable) can fold flat for maximum load space and versatility.

Some of the highlights on the top specification Titanium model are Adaptive Cornering Fog lamps which dramatically improve visibility when turning into a road or parking at night by illuminating the side area which is normally dark. Automatic on/off headlights and rain sensing wipers. Active City Stop which uses a sensor to avoid low speed collisions and is active up to 30km/h, and can brake the car fully to a stop if the driver has not reacted to an impending collision in time.
